1st Assignment Global Warming Symbol

This is the final outcome of my global warming symbol.



So, rite now i'll be explaining about the symbol i've done here.

My theme is about the rising of sea level caused by Global Warming.

As u can see, the symbol above consists of water drop-shape,an island,and few bubbles.Here's the explaination for each of it :

Water drop-shape : this shape is a symbolize of water which represents the sea water on the earth.

Island : for this island i draw a coconut tree,some fruits and a land to show that this is an island.
this island represents the land on the earth.This island was surrounded by the water drop shape to show that the land is sinking in the water.

Bubbles : Just to make sure that the land will looks more like it's sinking down in the sea.

And for the colours of course it is to show the attributes of my shapes.Blue is for water, green is for the land and leaves while brown is the colour of coconut tree. ^^

So, what i'm trying to show here is that the land on the earth might be sunken down into the sea due to the rising of sea level caused by global warming.As u can see from my symbol above, i'm trying to create an awareness about the danger of sea rising effects to us.

That's it!! I've finally finished my 1st assignment!! ^^

Steps of creating my global warming symbol - Part 2

So i'll continue back from where i drop in my previous post.This is the second part and also the last part of step-by-step on how i did my symbol.

This time i use the 'paintbrush tool' to get a the shape as shown in the picture above.



Again i used the 'paintbrush tool' and draw three lines there as shown in the picture.



The next step is to draw the leaves for the tree.I also used 'paintbrush tool' to get this shape.
This time i change the colour to 'green'.



Now for the land part.I still used the same tool as before and i also
add some fruits to make it looks more like an island.



Lastly, i added some bubble to make it looks like the island is in the water.
I used 'paintbrush tool' instead of 'ellipse tool' so that the bubble won't look so circle.

That's it!! My global warming symbol is done!! It's just a simple symbol ;p

Steps of creating my global warming symbol - Part 1

So, rite here i'll be showing a step-by-step process on how i did my symbol using Adobe illustrator and what tools i used to create my global warming symbol.

Firstly is to create the water-drop shape.I used the ellipse tools and make it bit oval.

Then i used the 'direct selection tools' to adjust the oval shape i just created to
form a water-drop shape.

I also add 1 more anchor point using the 'Add anchor point tool' and play around adjusting
the anchor point so the shape will look better and more like a water-drop shape.

After the shape looks perfect enough, i coloured it using gradient and i also
stroke it with the brush. The brush style i use is 'charcoal'.

So that's it for this part..The water-drop shape is now finish and i will continue with the second part in my next post.. ^^

Rough sketch of my symbol

Here are some of my rough sketch for my global warming symbol.Sorry for the bad quality of the pic.. >.<

This is the first sketch of my symbol..
As u can see here i'm using an earth for my symbol..i guess we're not suggested to the earth thing..so i wont be using this one.

And this is the second one..for this one i sketch a tree n a land n cover it all in 1 circle..and i hope u can see that the circle is filled up with water...

And this is the 3rd sketch..It's only da same..i just changed a bit on the shape covering the land..it's a waterdrop shape..This will be my final sketch and i'll be working on this symbol.

Global Warming

My 1st assignment!!it is to create a symbol on global warming and create an AWARENESS wif dat symbol..have to print and submit the symbol on 21st July..It's late already but i'm just about to start posting my progress on da symbol..Sorry for dis latenessss (>.<)..i promise wont do it this way anymore for the next assignment!!(hope so ;p )

Actually i already did some research bout the global warming n it's effect long ago..but just today i'm about to post it here..hehe~~ Here's some introduction to global warming which i guess everyone already knew it ;p

Global warming : An increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation.

The predicted effects of global warming on the environment and for human life are numerous and varied.

Some effects of recent climate change may already be occurring. Raising sea levels, glacier retreat, Arctic shrinkage, and altered patterns of agriculture are cited as direct consequences, but predictions for secondary and regional effects include extreme weather events, an expansion of tropical diseases, changes in the timing of seasonal patterns in ecosystems, and drastic economic impact.

Concerns have led to political activism advocating proposals to mitigate, eliminate, or adapt to it.

So, for this assignment i'll be creating a symbol base on a specific area which i've choosen..i'm going to concentrate on the sea level rising effect caused from the global warming..

About me~~

Peace be upon you..here i just wanna give a short introduction about myself...well, i am what i am, and that is something that u can never be..haha..quite nonsense..ok first of all, my name is nasuha..such a short name rite?huhu..so its easy for u to remember it..u can call me nasuha or suha...thats what my friend call me...about my age, i was born in 1989 but i'm still 18 coz my birthday is still ahead..(5 Oct)..but people usually call me as 19 and it makes me feel so old >.<..i'm the eldest in my siblings, have 2 sisters which is 17 years old and 15 years old..i come from kota bharu, kelantan...

Now i'm studying in Multimedia University(MMU) at Cyberjaya and i'm in Foundation of Creative Multimedia(FCM)..i'm not sure if i like this place.. ;P haha~~ well this is my first blog..i never had any blog before and i hate doing this writing thing.. @.@ the purpose of this blog is for my assignment's progress in computer graphics..so its not for my diaries or whatever.. ^^

Well, i love computers and internets..love my laptop so much !! ;p also love drawing, designing and anything about art (not exactly anything actually)..so thats the reason why i'm here. (i guess so)..sometimes when i'm bored i like day-dreaming..haha~~ i also like anime, manga n all that related with japanese(again, not exactly anything)..i'm quite friendly person (really??) and i like making friends =) but i dunno how ;p ..
